An Hour and a Half

This session explores the origins and strategies of the Boycott, Divest, and Sanctions Movement. We will look at its role in dismantling apartheid in South Africa and its current efforts to pressure Israel and the U.S. to end the oppression of Palestinians. Participants will learn how BDS tactics can be powerful tools for social change and receive guidance for launching local campaigns.

An Hour and a Half

MSJW’s Know Your Rights training helps participants stay safe at actions and protests. We cover essential legal knowledge and safety practices, tailored to the specific needs of the group, whether focused on immigrant rights, LGBTQAI+ rights, student advocacy, or general protest safety. The workshop lasts about ninety minutes and equips participants with practical steps to navigate interactions with authorities while protecting their rights and each other.

Hour and a Half

This workshop introduces grassroots organizing for those new to activism or seeking to strengthen their skills. Participants learn about building power, mapping allies, forming coalitions, and planning direct actions. Through examples and discussion, we explore strategies to mobilize communities for issues like racial justice and economic equity. By the end, attendees will have a strong foundation for creating impactful campaigns that can grow into sustainable movements.
